Knife threat at Munich S-Bahn stop

On 7 January, an 18-year-old man allegedly threatened a 51-year-old man with a knife at about 11:45 a.m. at the Laim S-Bahn stop. The incident followed an argument between the two men. The suspect then travelled on an inbound S-Bahn train, while the injured party followed him to the Hirschgarten stop and alerted the driver after bringing the train to an emergency stop. Plainclothes officers arrested the 18-year-old nearby shortly afterwards and seized a pocketknife. No one was injured. The operation caused delays on the main line, and the train was cleared to continue at 12:08 p.m. The man was released after police measures, while federal police continue to investigate an alleged threat.
