Man arrested after robbery-related extortion in Frankfurt's station district
A 25-year-old man allegedly approached a 49-year-old man on Moselstraße in Frankfurt am Main on Wednesday morning and initially asked him for a cigarette. Police said he then threatened the man with a pointed object and demanded the entire cigarette packet. The suspect fled towards Münchner Straße. Video footage enabled plain-clothes officers to recognise and arrest him in the station district at about 12:25. A judge ordered him held in custody because he had breached an existing exclusion order for the district.
