Man threatens police officers with knife in Munich

A 52-year-old man allegedly left his home in Munich with a knife during a mental health crisis on 9 December. After a report, police officers encountered him later near Hochstraße, where he was allegedly holding the knife and actively threatening emergency personnel with it. Officers disarmed and secured him using an electroshock device. The man was lightly injured, received outpatient treatment and was then placed in a hospital providing psychiatric care. The knife was seized, and police are investigating, among other matters, suspected threats and resistance against police officers.
