Two men injured with pointed object in Munich’s Old Town

Two men were injured with a pointed object during an altercation with several people in Munich’s Old Town. The incident occurred at about 02:00 on Monday near Herzogspitalstraße and Herzog-Wilhelm-Straße. A 29-year-old man sustained serious injuries to his upper body, while a 31-year-old man suffered minor injuries to both legs. Both were taken to hospitals for further treatment; injuries initially believed to be life-threatening for the 29-year-old were not confirmed as such. The group fled towards Sendlinger-Tor-Platz and had not been apprehended despite an immediate search. Police are investigating how the incident unfolded.
