Woman dies after alleged knife attack in Munich
A 76-year-old woman died after sustaining multiple stab wounds in an apartment in Munich. Police had been called on Sunday afternoon following a report of an attack with a knife on a female family member. The woman received medical treatment and was taken to hospital, where she died shortly afterwards. A 24-year-old suspect was in the apartment when police arrived and was provisionally detained. Criminal police are investigating the sequence of events and the background to the killing. The cordon around the scene temporarily disrupted tram services.
