Knife attack on passers-by in Munich

A 41-year-old woman attacked passers-by on a street in Munich on 4 June, using a knife and a stick. A 64-year-old man suffered a knife wound to his back. A 62-year-old woman was struck on the head with the stick and also sustained a head injury when she fell while trying to escape further attacks.

Emergency services treated both injured people and took them to hospital; the man received outpatient treatment and the woman was admitted for inpatient care. The woman was arrested shortly afterwards at her nearby home and placed in a psychiatric hospital because of her dangerous behaviour. Police are investigating on suspicion of dangerous bodily harm.
