Man allegedly injures at least one passenger with kitchen knife during dispute on Munich train

A 51-year-old man became involved in a verbal dispute with five men on a commuter train travelling towards Ebersberg on 14 May. Following a struggle, he is alleged to have drawn a kitchen knife, threatened the group and attacked them with stabbing motions. At least one of the men apparently suffered a minor injury to a hand or finger. Security staff restrained the man at Hirschgarten station after he allegedly tried to strike one employee and reach for another employee's baton. He was brought before a remand judge on suspicion of dangerous bodily harm, threats and insult.
