Man draws knife at Sankt-Jakobs-Platz

Three men are alleged to have spat on pictures and candles for Hamas hostages and fallen Israeli soldiers at Sankt-Jakobs-Platz near the Jewish Museum in Munich on 8 March and behaved verbally aggressively. When two security staff tried to restrain them, one of the men kicked a staff member in the leg and drew a small knife. After he refused an order to put down the knife, security staff and police officers who had arrived threatened to use their firearms. The man dropped the knife. All three suspects were provisionally detained, and nobody was physically injured. Police are investigating, among other allegations, threats and assault.
