Man critically injured in dispute in Mülheim
A man was critically injured with a stabbing weapon during an intrafamily dispute at a flat in Mülheim's Altstadt district. The confrontation between two men occurred at about 17:30 on Easter Monday and escalated into a physical altercation. Paramedics treated the injured man and took him to hospital; police later said there was no longer an immediate danger to his life.
Police arrested the suspect at the flat. A homicide investigation unit took over the case because of the severity of the injuries and conducted forensic work at the scene. An arrest warrant for dangerous bodily harm was issued against the suspect but was initially suspended subject to conditions.
