43-year-old seriously injured in Geropark knife attack
A 43-year-old man suffered serious stab wounds in Geropark in Mönchengladbach at around 7 p.m. on Monday, 26 October 2026. According to preliminary findings, he and a 53-year-old man he knew from earlier verbal disputes argued before the confrontation turned physical. The 53-year-old allegedly drew a knife and seriously injured him. The injured man received intensive care in hospital. Police arrested the suspect, and on Tuesday a judge ordered him held in pre-trial detention on strong suspicion of attempted manslaughter.
