Attempted bag robbery with pointed object in Bonn-Auerberg
An attempted robbery in Bonn-Auerberg ended without the suspect taking the bag. A 40-year-old man allegedly threatened a resident with a pointed object in the hallway of an apartment building and grabbed for his shoulder bag. The resident resisted and called for help, prompting the suspect to abandon the bag. The man had apparently watched the resident near Kölnstraße at around 10 a.m. before following him inside as he unlocked the entrance. Witnesses pursued the fleeing man and alerted police, who arrested him on an e-scooter on An der Josefshöhe. Officers recovered the discarded pointed object; investigators say the e-scooter had also been stolen. A judge ordered pre-trial detention, and the investigation continues.
