Man accused of threatening cashier with pocketknife in Mönchengladbach

A 44-year-old man is accused of threatening a cashier with a pocketknife and demanding cash at a discount store on Otto-Saffran-Straße in Mönchengladbach on 23 December. According to police, he reached into the open till, took a four-figure sum and fled towards Friedhofstraße. Patrol officers located him nearby, recovered the money and knife, and provisionally detained him.
