Man detained after fatal knife attack in Hamburg-Rahlstedt
A 68-year-old man died following a suspected knife attack at his home in Hamburg-Rahlstedt at around 21:30 on 23 December. According to the current investigation, a 43-year-old man who was loosely acquainted with the resident went to the home and allegedly stabbed him several times in the upper body with a knife. The victim's wife suffered a minor hand injury during a struggle. The suspect initially left, then called emergency services himself and was provisionally detained near the scene. The homicide unit and public prosecutors are investigating, and the weapon has not yet been found.
