Man treated for stab wounds after altercation in Mönchengladbach

A 31-year-old man was taken to hospital with two stab wounds after an altercation involving several people outside a kiosk on Bismarckstraße in Mönchengladbach. A witness alerted police shortly after midnight. Officers dispersed the confused scene, while at least one other person fled. Emergency personnel first identified an injury and a second wound was found at the hospital. Police said later that night that the man was not in life-threatening condition. A homicide investigation unit is handling the case.
