Trio fails in knife robbery attempt in Mönchengladbach
Three men are alleged to have attacked two 26-year-olds near a church on Richard-Wagner-Straße in Mönchengladbach during the night of 21 August. According to one victim, a suspect held a folding knife at him and demanded valuables. The suspect took his phone and wallet, but the victim managed to recover both items and escape. Another suspect searched the second man's cloth bag and struck him in the face. The trio fled without loot, and police are seeking witnesses.
