Jeweller injured with knife in attempted robbery in Mönchengladbach
An unknown man is alleged to have attempted to rob a 67-year-old jeweller at his shop on Kapuzinerstraße in Mönchengladbach on 8 April. After the jeweller opened the door at about 1 p.m., the man allegedly threatened him with a knife and demanded valuables. A struggle occurred while they were heading towards the sales counter, during which police said the jeweller was slightly injured with the knife. When the 67-year-old activated an alarm, the suspect fled towards Kapuzinerplatz.
