Man injured in altercation in Merseburg
Following a disagreement, a 33-year-old man became involved in a physical altercation with four men at the junction of Straße des Friedens and Bergmannsring in Merseburg at about 11 p.m. on 5 August. The four men punched and kicked him until he fell to the ground; he also suffered a cut wound and was taken to hospital. The 33-year-old then defended himself with an iron bar and bit one of the men. That man was also injured and received outpatient treatment at the scene. Police opened an investigation.
