Knife threat after group fight in Merchweiler
Two groups initially became involved in a dispute on Hauptstraße in Merchweiler at around 00:50 on 21 June. The group of three people, aged between 23 and 27, was then allegedly assaulted by its five opponents. According to police, one of the attackers pulled a knife and threatened the three victims with it. The perpetrators fled. Two suspected perpetrators, aged 20 and 23, were apprehended shortly afterwards, and police opened an investigation including for dangerous bodily harm.
