Teenager draws knife during dispute in Mainz
On the evening of Tuesday, 27 October 2026, a teenager allegedly drew a knife during a dispute with a man at Tanzplatz in Mainz-Weisenau. According to the initial police account, he used it to puncture a tyre on the other man's car; police did not report a knife injury to the man. During the scuffle that followed, the teenager allegedly sprayed pepper spray towards the man's face. He initially fled but later contacted police himself. A subsequent search recovered a knife believed to have been used. Police are investigating suspected dangerous bodily harm, while the circumstances and precise sequence remain under investigation.
