Man threatens wife with knife in Weißenfels
A 69-year-old man allegedly assaulted his wife at their home in the Karl-Marx-Siedlung area of Weißenfels on the morning of Tuesday, 27 October 2026, leaving her with minor injuries. Police say he threatened her while holding a knife as she fled. When officers arrived, he had barricaded himself in the kitchen with the knife. After attempts to speak with him failed, a specialist police unit restrained him without injury. Following an emergency medical examination, he was admitted to a specialist clinic because of his health condition; police are investigating assault and threats. No injury caused by the knife was reported.
