Machete attack after dispute in Magdeburg
Following a dispute in Magdeburg-Buckau, a 37-year-old man is alleged to have attacked and seriously injured a 25-year-old man with a machete. Police said the older man had previously complained about nighttime noise. The attack occurred at about 1:30 a.m. during the night leading into Sunday. The victim was taken to hospital. The suspect initially fled, was later arrested at his home and was remanded in custody the following day. Police are investigating on suspicion of attempted homicide.
