Man seriously injured with knife during alleged robbery extortion in Magdeburg

A 38-year-old man was seriously injured with a knife in Magdeburg on 12 March during a suspected aggravated robbery extortion. Police said that after collecting a food order, he encountered three suspects whom he had met earlier. They allegedly injured him and demanded, among other things, that he hand over the order. The man fled and alerted police, and he was admitted to hospital for treatment. Two suspects, aged 18 and 22, were provisionally detained and remanded in custody following detention applications. A knife was seized near the scene, while investigations into a third suspect continue.
