Man threatens police officers with knives in Ludwigsburg
A 24-year-old man threatened emergency officers with two knives and a crowbar at a residential facility on Bodelschwinghstraße in Ludwigsburg on Sunday. Police surrounded the building after an emergency call reported that he was damaging property in his room. The man was masked and had barricaded his door. Specialist officers eventually forced the door open and provisionally detained him without resistance. He had previously injured himself with one of the knives, received medical treatment and was then taken to a psychiatric facility.
