Woman seriously injured in knife attack in Luckenwalde
Police said they were informed on the morning of 20 February that a man had allegedly used a knife against a woman known to him in a domestic setting in Luckenwalde. The woman sustained serious injuries and was treated in hospital. Police identified a suspect and provisionally detained him. At the request of the Potsdam public prosecutor's office, the Potsdam local court ordered his provisional placement in a psychiatric hospital. The homicide squad is continuing the investigation.
