Shoplifter draws knife in Lippstadt
Police provisionally detained a 21-year-old man after an alleged robbery-related theft at a discount store on Marktstraße in Lippstadt. An employee addressed the man inside the store after noticing him despite a ban from the premises. The 21-year-old allegedly pushed the employee and drew a knife, causing the employee to step aside. He fled the store towards the town hall but was found shortly afterwards on a bicycle near Westernkötter Straße. Police seized the knife and bicycle. The suspect was due to appear before a remand judge the following day, while the investigation continued.
