Sword displayed during robbery-related extortion in Lingen

Police said two potentially connected robbery-related extortions occurred at an apartment building on Pestalozzistraße in Lingen. On 14 March, two masked teenagers allegedly rang the doorbell of a 74-year-old woman and demanded cash while displaying a sword about 70 centimetres long. The woman shut her door and was not injured; the suspects left without any money.

According to police, the suspects rang the doorbell of the woman's neighbour on 23 March but again obtained nothing. The resident was unharmed. Police are seeking the two teenagers.
