Police officer allegedly injured with knife in Leverkusen
During a police operation on Karl-Krekeler-Straße in Leverkusen-Wiesdorf, a 22-year-old man allegedly injured a police officer in the upper arm with a knife. Patrol officers had encountered him shortly before midnight in a van containing suspected stolen goods, together with five other people. When officers attempted to establish his identity, he allegedly resisted and later broke free. A 19-year-old alleged accomplice was provisionally detained after she allegedly pulled a female officer by the arm. The injured officer received outpatient treatment and was initially unfit for duty; the named 22-year-old remains at large.
