Man, 66, threatened with sharp object and robbed in Leipzig park
A 66-year-old man was robbed in a park on Wurzner Straße near Edlichstraße in Leipzig's Volkmarsdorf district on Tuesday, 22 September 2026. At about 11 a.m., he was sitting on a bench when several strangers approached him and demanded cash. The suspects, believed to be teenagers, threatened him with a sharp object among other means before fleeing with banknotes and a mobile phone. Criminal investigators are investigating a robbery and seeking witnesses; they have no description of the suspects.
