Shop employee injured in knife attack in Leipzig
A 29-year-old shop employee was injured with a knife during an altercation at a store on Henricistraße in Leipzig at about 20:15 on 20 August. He was admitted to hospital for inpatient treatment. Officers located a 42-year-old suspect nearby and secured the suspected weapon. A judge enforced an existing arrest warrant against the accused, who was then remanded in custody. Investigators are continuing to examine the background and exact sequence of events.
