22-year-old seriously injured in Leipzig stabbing attack
A 22-year-old man was seriously injured at about 2:40 p.m. on 31 December during an altercation outside a shop on Eisenbahnstraße in Leipzig. What began as a verbal dispute escalated into physical assaults, during which an unidentified perpetrator used a stabbing instrument. The injured man was taken to hospital while receiving resuscitation measures. Police cordoned off the area, disrupting public transport for slightly more than 30 minutes. Detectives are investigating on suspicion of attempted homicide.
