Man remanded in custody after neck stabbing injuries in Krefeld
A 44-year-old man sustained stab wounds to the neck during a physical altercation between two men on Seyffardtstraße in Krefeld on 29 July. He was taken to hospital and was able to leave after treatment. A 53-year-old man was arrested. At the prosecution's request, an investigating judge ordered pre-trial detention on suspicion of attempted murder in conjunction with dangerous bodily harm. Investigators are still examining the background to the incident, and a homicide unit has been set up.
