Man threatens employees with knife at Cologne Central Station
A 24-year-old man is alleged to have threatened employees of a supermarket branch at Cologne Central Station with a knife on 19 January. Police said he had previously tried to return deposit bottles, threw glass bottles onto the floor and left the shop. When employees then spoke to him, he pulled out a knife. One employee grabbed his arm; the man kicked him in the shin and left the area with the knife. Federal police later located him in a station passage, ordered him at gunpoint to drop the knife and detained him. Officers found further kitchen knives, knife sets and a syringe in his backpack. He is under investigation for threats and bodily harm.
