Man threatens security employee with knife at Kiel station

A 43-year-old man allegedly threatened a security employee with a knife at Kiel station on the morning of 23 September. The employee had approached him near the Sophienblatt exit and told him to leave the station area. During the ensuing argument, the man allegedly pulled a knife from his jacket pocket and raised it threateningly toward the employee. He fled after a brief scuffle in which no one was injured. According to federal police, video footage confirmed the act, and the suspect was apprehended when he returned to the station that afternoon. A knife was seized during a search, and he was later released. He is under investigation for making threats.
