Man critically injured in stabbing attack in Kerpen
A 42-year-old man suffered life-threatening stab wounds in Kerpen on 19 May. According to police and prosecutors, he had previously become involved in a loud argument with an unidentified man in the waiting area of Kerpen Local Court at around noon.
After the man left the building, the suspect allegedly followed him towards a car park and stabbed him with a pointed object on Löwenerstraße. The victim was sitting in a BMW as a passenger at the time. Emergency services took him to hospital, where he underwent emergency surgery that afternoon. The attacker then left in a grey car. A homicide investigation unit is examining the background and the identity of the fugitive suspect.
