18-year-old seriously injured in alleged knife attack in Kassel
An 18-year-old was allegedly attacked with a knife and seriously, though not life-threateningly, injured in central Kassel during the night before Sunday. At about 3:15 a.m., he was walking along Wilhelmstraße with five other people when the group encountered two young men, according to his account. After the 18-year-old allegedly confronted them about provocations and insults, the two men are said to have attacked him. The injured man was taken to hospital. The unidentified perpetrators fled towards Treppenstraße, and criminal police are investigating and seeking witnesses.
