Woman allegedly injured with knife in Karlsruhe apartment
A 24-year-old man is alleged to have threatened and apparently injured a 25-year-old woman with a knife in an apartment on Lessingstraße in Karlsruhe on Thursday morning. The woman escaped via a first-floor balcony, after which passers-by alerted police. An ambulance took her to hospital. Police said her life was not in danger.
Police surrounded the location with numerous officers and specialist units because it could not be ruled out that the suspect had access to dangerous objects. He was provisionally detained without resistance in a rear building at about 13:30. The alleged weapon was found, and criminal police are investigating the circumstances.
