Man remanded in custody after suspected knife attack in Karlsruhe
A 47-year-old man has been remanded in custody following a suspected knife attack in Karlsruhe. Investigators allege that at about 03:30 on 21 October, during an argument in an apartment, he inflicted multiple stab injuries on his 30-year-old opponent with a small kitchen knife.
A witness called police and emergency services around seven hours later. Officers found the seriously injured man near Kaiserallee; he was taken to hospital and underwent emergency surgery. The suspect was provisionally arrested on a tram later that day, while investigators continue to examine the background, sequence of events and exact crime scene.
