19-year-old reports knife threat and phone robbery in Kaiserslautern
A 19-year-old man reported to police during the night leading into 16 October 2026 that he had been threatened with a knife near the city park in Kaiserslautern. He said he had witnessed an argument between two acquaintances at around 1:30 a.m. without taking part. After one of them fled, the other allegedly threatened the 19-year-old and ordered him into a car. During the drive, he said he had to surrender his phone and its access code; he was allowed to leave shortly afterwards. The precise sequence is unclear because the complainant gave differing accounts. Police are seeking witnesses from the area around the park and Trippstadter Straße.
