Man arrested after knife attack in Jena
A 32-year-old man is alleged to have seriously injured a 22-year-old man with multiple knife wounds on a green area on Knebelstraße in Jena at about 3:40 p.m. on Thursday. The suspect initially fled the scene after the attack. Special police forces arrested him during the night into Friday, and he remains in police custody. The injured man is being treated in hospital. The Gera public prosecutor's office is considering an application for an arrest warrant while investigators continue to examine the background to the incident.
