Knife threat after backpack theft on regional train
On a regional train travelling from Pasewalk to Stralsund, a 30-year-old man allegedly snatched a backpack from a 45-year-old passenger. When the victim followed him, the man drew a knife and threatened him with it, according to federal police.
A woman who recorded the incident on her phone was then allegedly punched twice in the face and suffered a laceration to her forehead. Another woman was also struck. Officers identified a man at Jatznick station whom victims and witnesses recognised as the suspected offender. He was provisionally detained.
