Man threatens emergency responders with knife in Jagsthausen
A 66-year-old man threatened emergency responders in Jagsthausen on the evening of 28 September 2026 after calling the ambulance service himself. When the paramedics arrived, he kept them from approaching and threatened them; after police were called, he continued making threats against the officers with a knife. Police said he was in a mental health crisis. He insulted the officers and retreated into his house, where he briefly pointed the knife at himself and repeatedly threatened the responders from the windows while holding it. Once he put the knife down, officers forced open the front door and arrested him without resistance. Paramedics took him to a psychiatric facility. Police did not report any injuries.
