Man critically injured in knife attack in Hude
At accommodation for refugees on Nordenholzer Straße in Hude, a 40-year-old allegedly stabbed a 66-year-old man several times with a knife after a verbal argument on 16 January. Witnesses came to the victim's aid, after which the suspect stopped attacking him.
The 66-year-old sustained extremely serious, life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital. The suspect was provisionally arrested. Police are investigating an attempted homicide; prosecutors ordered a blood sample and were considering an application for an arrest warrant.
