Man seriously injured in dispute at motorway service area
Two 37-year-old men became involved in a dispute at about 13:30 on Saturday at the Hildesheimer Börde motorway service area on the A7 after they had allegedly been drinking alcohol together. One of the men is alleged to have drawn a knife and seriously injured the other man in the head. The injured man was initially treated at the scene and then taken to hospital, where his injuries were assessed as potentially life-threatening. The other man was also admitted to hospital because of pain. The alleged suspect was provisionally detained and the investigation is continuing.
