Man suspected of threatening two teenagers with knife in Hilden
Two teenagers were uninjured after a 45-year-old man allegedly threatened them with a knife in Hilden's pedestrian area on 2 October 2026. At about 16:20, passers-by reported to police that the man had run shouting after the teenagers, who were on an electric scooter, while holding a knife. Police found him shortly afterwards at Warrington-Platz and detained him without resistance. They seized a kitchen knife from his backpack and opened an investigation into the alleged threat. After initial police procedures, the man was admitted to a psychiatric facility.
