Man arrested after fatal knife attack in Hessisch Lichtenau
A 27-year-old resident died after a knife attack at an accommodation facility for refugees on Blücherstraße in Hessisch Lichtenau. Police and prosecutors said a verbal dispute between him and a 24-year-old resident escalated in the shared kitchen on Tuesday evening. The 24-year-old allegedly took a knife and stabbed the other man.
Emergency personnel could only confirm the victim's death. The suspect initially fled but was located in Frau-Holle-Park following a search involving a police helicopter and was arrested. Authorities said the possible motive was not yet known.
