Five injured after mass brawl in Heiligenhaus

Five people were injured in a mass brawl between two extended families in Heiligenhaus-Oberilp on the evening of 29 June. Police said knives and other dangerous objects were used during the confrontation, and several people sustained cut injuries. A 38-year-old man suffered severe stab wounds, underwent surgery that night and was reported to be in danger of death. Police provisionally arrested two men on suspicion of dangerous bodily harm and set up a homicide unit because of the severity of the injuries. Initial findings suggest that a separation dispute between two young adults may have triggered the confrontation.
