A 28-year-old doorman was stabbed in the upper back during the night in Berlin-Mitte. He said he had noticed a glass bottle being thrown over a wall onto the club grounds and went to the pavement on Köpenicker Straße to investigate. Police said he was then injured without warning.

According to witnesses, the suspected attacker fled towards Michaelkirchstraße. Emergency services took the injured man to hospital for inpatient treatment, and there was reportedly no danger to his life. A specialist unit of Berlin police's Directorate 5 is investigating.
