Attempted knife robbery at petrol station in Hanover

At about 20:50 on 26 January, a man carrying a knife entered a petrol station in Hanover-Ledeburg and demanded cash from a 54-year-old employee. Two other men waited outside the entrance. After the employee addressed the offender, he abandoned the robbery and fled without any money; the two companions also ran away. During the search, police provisionally detained an 18-year-old and a 22-year-old suspect. The 18-year-old was released after police measures, while the 22-year-old was taken to prison because of an outstanding warrant. The knife-carrying offender remains at large, and police are investigating attempted robbery extortion.
