22-year-old injured by stabbing during dispute at Kröpcke station
A 22-year-old man sustained a stab injury on Tuesday evening in the concourse of Kröpcke underground station in Hanover. Police said he had become involved in a dispute with an 18-year-old at around 10 pm.
The younger man initially left but returned shortly afterwards and is alleged to have inflicted the injury on the 22-year-old. He then ran towards Ernst-August-Platz, where officers stopped him and took him into custody. The injured man received medical treatment and was taken to hospital; his life was not in danger. The suspect also had a minor injury and was taken to hospital as a precaution. Police are investigating on suspicion of dangerous bodily harm.
