Man draws knife during shop theft in Hanau
A 49-year-old man is alleged to have put groceries into his backpack without paying at a discount store in Hanau on 25 January 2025. When employees tried to detain him as he left the store, he allegedly drew a knife. The employees then let him go and he fled. He lost his identification document in the parking lot and later returned. Police arrested him after finding that an arrest warrant was outstanding; he is under investigation on suspicion of theft.
